Experience by Riki Tate

November 16, 2014

My name is Riki Tate.  I am 29 years old.  My mother and father introduced this Buddhism to me when I was a child.   I have been practicing on and off for a combined total of approximately ten years.

I would like to share with you how this practice has been helping me most recently.

It acts as medicine that literally numbs my anger and refreshes my positivity.  It loosens the grips of my greed, allowing me to focus on pleasant life goals in a healthier manner.  It polishes my vision so I see people as equals rather than looking up or down at them.  If I experience misery, it instantly revamps my perspective.  And it helps me to maintain a higher level of emotional stability.

It is purifying my senses, in the most literal way.  I am better at realizing cause and effect relationships--such as what is true and false.  And I have a clearer idea of what needs to be done to solve my problems.

Please understand that by practicing this Buddhism you will overcome every obstacle and suffering you encounter, you purify your senses--your eyes, nose, ears, mouth, mind/heart, and body--, and you experience true happiness.

In the last three years my appreciation has grown.  I am very grateful to have encountered this Buddhism that is the influence untangling and polishing all of my accumulated layers of causes and effects.   It is truly improving my life in actual ways.

To experience wonderful benefits in your own way, receive Gojukai, please come back to the temple where we learn the correct details of practicing, and share this precious True Buddhism with others.

Thank you for your kind attention this morning.
